Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus (BVDV)

Bovine viral diarrhea (mucosal disease) is an infectious disease caused by bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV). Cattle of all ages are susceptible to infection, and young cattle are the most susceptible. The source of infection is mainly sick animals. The secretions, excreta, blood and spleen of sick cows all contain viruses, which can be transmitted by direct or indirect contact.
